Bally Jora-Aswatthatala Vidyalaya was established on the 8th March, in the year of 1913, the initiation chiefly taken by those people of the locality, who dedicated almost the whole of their lives for the upliftment of the society. It started as Bally Banga-Shishu Vidyalaya, a co-ed school, that was split into two in the later years- Banga-Shishu Balika Vidyalaya for the girls and Jora-Aswatthatala Vidyalaya for the boys. It is one of the oldest educational institutions of Bally, Howrah. It bears the blessings as well as initiatives of many personalities behind its growth over the years. Today, it runs as a reputed Higher Secondary School of the locality, with well equipped modern laboratories, a rich library, a playground, distributed through three campuses, serving the needs of students streaming in from far and near, under the able guidance of competent teaching and non-teaching staff, well coordinated by efficient administration.

The school is known all over our locality for its consistent achievement in both academic and co-curricular activities. There is very good co-ordination among the students, the teachers and the guardians, be it in the academic, or in the administrative, or in the social field. All the people, attached to our school in one way or the other, are very determined and focussed to achieve excellence in every aspect of our school.
